2020 has been a challenging year for us all, and it’s a year we won’t forget. Living through a global pandemic can be tough, and it’s important to celebrate what we have achieved this year, whether it’s big or small. If you’ve worked through the pandemic, you know it’s the little things that keep you motivated. Our Velez team has come together to celebrate our wins this year, whether big or small and what has helped us stay positive

1 New Website
Due to our company growing and expanding, our marketing team has worked long and hard on a new website, which is to be released at the end of this year. We wanted to create a website that promotes everything we offer, from job opportunities within Velez to IT services such as Third-Party Maintenance. On our new website, you can find regular blog posts, information about all our services, 24/7/365-day contact service, and a page where you can find out all about Velez. It’s important for us at Velez to keep you updated with the services we offer and anything new.
2 Maintenance Offerings
Here at Velez, we have 2 maintenance offerings: Third Party and Break-fix. Depending on what your company needs, our Velez team offer different maintenance SLA’s. If you’re looking for a company other than your OEM to maintain and monitor your IT assets, you can contact our Third-Party maintenance team for support, who can ensure your hardware is in its optimum working environment. If you’re looking for a quick and easy fix for your hardware or software, we can provide you with our break-fix maintenance team. We have experts in every field, meaning you don’t have to worry about hiring specialists, which can be expensive.
3 New Offices
This year, our team has grown more than any other year. To compensate, Velez has invested in 3 new offices, allowing us to give our new and existing employees space to work, whilst also being socially distanced to stay safe. With new offices in the UK, Spain, and the USA, it is clear that one of our main focuses is ensuring #TeamVelez has the best environment to work in to stay motivated. Our new offices allow us to recruit more members of our team, which leads us to our next accomplishment…
36 New Employees
#TeamVelez has expanded in multiple countries this year, hiring 36 new employees. During the pandemic, it’s been harder than ever to find a job. Velez has taken all measures into account, such as working from home, taking breaks to ensure good mental health, and keeping clean when working in the office. Our employees, whether new or existing, always have the opportunity to work at home rather than the office, to ensure they feel safe. We keep all our employees connected regularly and provide them with the resources to work where they’d like, and safely too. This includes providing them with hardware to work from home, or optional masks, hand sanitizers, and mandatory social distance policies in the office.
56 Bottles of Milk
Despite having the best teams, Velez is run on hot drinks. Whether it’s a morning coffee to wake you up or a mid-afternoon cup of tea, there’s always milk in our fridge to make endless hot drinks throughout the day. Our finance team calculated that Velez has used 56 bottles of milk in the UK office alone! It’s the simple things that keep us going.
79 LinkedIn Posts
LinkedIn is where you can usually find what we’re up to at Velez. This year we’ve posted about charity events, our new services, and our employees. Velez has been more active on social media than ever, meaning we’ve posted more on every platform, especially LinkedIn. We’ve also gained 1113 LinkedIn followers, meaning more of you are following our Velez journey and seeing what we do each day. We plan to be more active on all our socials next year, so make sure to follow us @VelezGlobal.
102 Clients
This year, we’ve gained 102 new clients, so we owe you a thank you. Our job is to provide you with the best IT services possible, and you’ve made that possible by choosing #TeamVelez. Our team expanding is due to you requiring our services, meaning we’re busier than ever keeping up with calls, social media, and sales. We’ve expanded largely this year, and it’s all due to our clients.
1489 Energy Drinks Consumed
We’d be lying if we said this year hasn’t been difficult, and sometimes it takes more than a coffee to wake us up and motivated. Despite our team keeping each other going, whether it’s in the office or at home, this year we’ve needed a pick me up to keep us going. By keeping up with our quickly expanding business and the ever-changing Covid-19 situation, #TeamVelez has earned a few (or a lot of) energy drinks. We’ve also earned the 1251 takeaways and 40 cakes…
2419 Cases Cleared
Due to our 102 new clients this year in addition to our existing customers, we’ve had a huge rise in the number of cases we’ve needed to solve. If you’ve needed our services once, twice, or ten times this year, we’d like to thank you for choosing #TeamVelez. 2149 and still growing by the day, you’re keeping our technicians busy.
1,000,000+ Emails, Calls and Messages
It’s been vital to keep in touch this year over social media and check-in with everyone virtually. We all know it’s been hard to stay positive with the current situation, and #TeamVelez has made it a priority to contact each other daily through calls, messages, emails, and large team virtual get together after work hours. Due to our large increase in employees and clients, we must check our services are always to their best standards by contacting all our teams.
Thank you!
As you know, we have gained many new faces over the past year, and we will continue our search for great people to join #TeamVelez as we grow, develop and shape our way through the rest of 2020 and into the new year of 2021. We’d like to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone- our clients, team, and partners- and a deep appreciation for all that you have given individually and collaboratively, now and in the future. In these difficult times, the world faces, #TeamVelez and everyone we work with has stood tall, strong, and mentally resilient against all odds.
Without your dedication and collaboration with us at Velez, we wouldn’t have been able to succeed as much as we have been able to this year, and so for this, we thank you. We will continue to work to the best of our abilities and provide you with one-of-a-kind services throughout the end of this year and through to the next.
The world is currently enduring difficult times, and it may feel like a bumpy ride, but we promise to live and breathe the #WhateverItTakes mentality, not only internally but towards everyone else too.
We look forward to working with you all in the year to come.
Thank you!
